WHY SELF – IMAGE AND DRESSMAKING ARE INSEPARABLE

We are always judged by the outfit we're wearing.

You Choose the Story

Ready-to-wear clothes are created for an “average” customer. Dressmaking lets you decide what silhouette, colour, and era of style fits you — and in doing so, creates your identity.

The clothes we wear are tied to who we are. We are always judged by the outfit we’re wearing. Better clothes also raise our frequency and increase our physical wellbeing.

Everything is connected: Mind / Body / Soul.

A Historical Necessity

Historically, dressmaking was an identity-making necessity. People chose what they wanted to wear for the long term, because fast fashion did not exist.

In reality, fast fashion creates a very cheap look and feel. Having tried it, everyone wants to go back to tailor-made outfits — especially now, in 2026. The market is overfilled with production designed to “fit everyone,” but by wearing it, you lose your identity.

That’s exactly why so many people are losing their sense of self: everyone thinks the same, wears the same, and there’s little difference between two human beings.

Slow Fashion vs. Fast Fashion

Creating an outfit from scratch is a long and time-consuming process — and that is precisely the difference between fast fashion and slow fashion.

A store-bought garment that doesn’t fit gets returned or ignored. A handmade garment with a flaw usually gets worn anyway.

What You Wear, Literally

The best fabrics to wear in the long term are natural fibres, not polyester. Scientists have proven that fabrics containing toxins affect health over time. Yet the market mostly offers synthetic-based fibres that aren’t good for the skin.

Generally speaking, fabric touches the skin — and the feeling of touch produces a feeling in the mind. Your mind then signals your body how to feel. The clothes you wear can instantly change your state of mind, and the state of mind of the people around you.

The Full Circle

You will always be judged by your looks and your self-image. Clothes affect how you feel, and how you feel is dictated by the clothes you wear. It’s all connected.

Your clothes form your self-image — but everything is created twice: first in your mind, and then in your reality.

Imagination is everything.
